Karl Popper: What is the difference between scientific theories and nonscientific theories? How to distinguish science from pseudo-science? Falsificationism claims that a hypothesis is scientific if and only if it has the potential to be refuted by some possible observation. Popper believe that we can never be completely sure that a theory is true. This view is known as fallibilism.
